"We had just stayed in a LaQuinta in Glen Rose, TX and it was wonderful. The low rating here is due to a couple of things--one of which is out of the control of the local hotel. Unlike in Glen Rose, we needed to do a couple of tasks for work and needed access to the wifi. We were told by the staff that Wyndham had recently changed their policy for free wifi access so that you had to "join" their rewards program. "We expected more from Holiday Inn Express. We’ve used Expedia and other discount sites for years, but it seems like that means we’re placed in old rooms which are the farthest away. I guess that makes sense considering we’re getting a discount. Breakfast was not replenished for the entire breakfast time. No attendants. No bath towels. We were told to go find a maid to get them. Keys didn’t work, so we spent a lot of time going from far end of 3rd floor to front desk."

"Bathroom had water damage on the walls. The bed was like sleeping on a wooden board. TV was force set to a specific volume, so we could not turn up or down. AC did not work well and the room was hot all night."

"I like the location because it is close to the interstate as well as the university area. This hotel is typically very quiet and is an overall nice place to stay. The breakfast is sub standard when compared to other hotels like this one but other than that no complaints. Good value for the area. Will stay here again as we have many times before."

"Hidden Gem. Under massive construction BUT the room was spotless: sheets and towels are white. Fully equipped clean kitchen with a dining table. Manager Mel is a professional with wings strapped on, I was locked out of my room Manger Mel came through and handle the business for free and didn’t complain about it."

"The location is nice . refrigerator. Leaked water from the top and dripped on our food we had in it. Breakfasts were ok. Nothing to write home about. One morning we ordered blue berry pancakes. They were so bad I couldn’t eat them. Plus each pancake had 4 blueberries right in the middle of the cake. Lol Our first day our Oj was bad. Soured.
