"My husband and I came for our anniversary weekend. We got married at Cedar Point, but wanted to find some other places and things to do in the area. Anchor was a cute little place. When we first pulled in, the first thing I noticed were the beautiful (and real) flowers outside of each room. The property appears very nicely kept. "All was actually good. However I really needed to have a jetted tub for medical reasons. On the Expedia website this is actually an inaccurate listing for the Deluxe Double Room. This room doesn't have a jetted tub."

"The parking lot has giant pot holes near the entrance which was our first red flag. We arrived a little after 4pm and was informed that despite check in starting at 3pm our room was not ready and it would be another hour and a half. The woman at the desk gave us a master key card so we could use the pool and asked us to only use it on the pool room and not other things which seemed like a security violation. When we went go the pool room, it wasn't even locked up so the master key card was...

"The weeds grown up around pool, first in the stained carpet. Stained sheets really brought out the design of the curtains"

"Nice little private courtyard with a pool and splash pad. Cute little fledgling gulls hanging out in there made it extra fun."

"The location of the hotel is perfect for walking to restaurants or just taking a stroll through downtown. Our room was clean and very well decorated. While having a waterfall shower was great, there was only a partial glass wall and no shower door, so naturally when you shower there for is getting extremely wet. I would recommend bringing your own snacks, because the snacks they provide in the room are very pricy. The staff was super friendly!!"

"We only needed a place to spend the night as we were visiting family in the area. Shower pressure was surprisingly amazing! Breakfast was included which was a nice bonus- I appreciated the variety of yogurt flavors & the apples were wrapped, making them ideal to take for later. Staff was friendly!"

"Very comfortable beds and rooms were clean. Very nice staff and breakfast was good. Eggs, sausage, cereal, bagels. Waffles. Fruit. Various flavored water, juice and good coffee. Great for the price."

"Each time we choose to visit the lake and occasionally due to unpredictable circumstances; this hotel is the only option to stay ! It’s always clean , proximity to the beach area , stores and restaurants. The hotel staff is always accommodating. The location is our favorite , especially being close to the freeway, for any emergency exits .The staff are always friendly, the rooms are clean and the lake view is amazing! If you’re like us and like nice things , this location is the place to be ....

"We walked in and left immediately. We didn't even stay"

"Had a little trouble checking in because we booked third party and didn’t get the instruction text. However we were next door to a very loud dog and the staff went above and beyond to allow us access to another room away from the dog if it was still barking at bedtime. Luckily it was not and quieted down when the people came back from dinner. But the offer was very appreciated. I also liked having 3 separate beds when traveling with teenagers. Thank you!"
