Hotel Keilir in Keflavík was a great option for our first night in Iceland. Staff were amenable and helped coordinate an early check in as we were exhausted from our travels. The room was clean and had all the amenities we needed. The hotel was walkable to a number of Keflavík’s offerings.

We loved staying at this hotel. It was in a great location that allowed us to explore the scenery of Geysir by just walking across the street. The restaurant was fabulous and the amenities are excellent. Very helpful staff and easy to park our rental car in the free lot. The beds were very comfortable as well.

The staff were very accommodating. They stayed late to get me checked in and helped with airport transportation. It was a perfect place to rest between travel stages. I only wish I had more time there. Make sure you communicate if you need the airport transportation or a late check-in.

A very short drive from the airport and a great base for exploring the area. The staff went above and beyond to assist us when we had a problem even though it had nothing to do with the hotel. The room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. Lots of available outlets so we could charge our devices. The included breakfast was simple but nourishing and fresh. We would happily return to hotel Keilir in the future.

It's a small hotel that is very clean and nice and located in Keflavik, a small town near the airport. Much less hectic than Reykjavik. I stayed in a double with an ensuite bathroom/shower. Extremely clean and well-maintained. The best part was the proprietoress. She was really great. She gave me some recommendations for food and shopping. She also went to extra lengths on my behalf when I fumbled my ride to the airport. I didn't realize they provided transport to the airport (my own lack of reading the hotel description). When the ride I had organized didn't show up, she came to the rescue at 6:00 in the morning and arranged for me to get to the airport. Really appreciated her.

The manager at night on my arrival was terrific. I had accidentally booked the room for the next night. She was able to book me in that night, though she didn't have to, and didn't charge me for two nights. It was wonderful to be treated so well after a long flight! The hotel had difficulty picking me up at 1:00 in the morning, so I had to take a (very expensive) taxi. On the way back, the hotel's shuttle to the airport was prompt and professional.
