A grand hotel providing comfortable, spotlessly clean accomodation & courteous, helpful staff. The hotel is set in attractive gardens with an immaculate pool which is maintained to an excellent standard by the poolside assistant who promptly provides mattresses & towels as required.
A visit to the Hydro Spa (the Banyan Tree), owned by the hotel, is a MUST!

absolutely lovely family run hotel - beautiful terrace and pool area over looking a small cove / beach. The food was delightful and the rooms were perfect. The walls can be a bit thin at times, but the bed is so comfortable you will drift to sleep quickly. I wish we could have stayed longer.

We spent 9 nights at Solplay, on holiday (as a couple). We would recommend the hotel to anyone, although best to have a car available as slightly isolated. Buffet breakfast was of good quality. We would normally make use of the kitchen area to make some of our own meals, but we used the hotel restaurant a lot as we found it to be good, and reasonably priced. Use of swimming pools / gym / sauna was included in price.

We were only staying for 3 nights but needed somewhere to relax, enjoy the sound of the waves crashing onto the beach etc. This ticked all the boxes! I would suggest a car is needed to visit the local town. Thank you for an excellent stay.

The staff were awesome, they can’t do enough for you. We had a wonderful stay. The hotel is located outside of downtown Lisbon and the hotel put on a complimentary shuttle bus, which saves a bus, metro or taxi fare. The hotel is very close by a metro station though.

Very relaxing stay, bedroom was delightful & the lounge area was a great space. The garden / pool area was beautiful to just chill out in the sun. Set in a quiet residential area, but only a 15 minute stroll into Cascais town centre. If you want an alternative to a big hotel, but still want a quality break, this is the place for you in Cascais.

This hotel exceeded all expectations and we have high expectations! ;) The perfect stay from start to finish with wonderfully kind and friendly staff and exemplary facilities. The staff spotted it was our son’s birthday during our stay and were so kind to surprise him with a delicious cake. Everything was done to the highest standard and we sincerely hope to return in the future. The pool area is also wonderful and with panoramic views and lovely seating. Thank you to your amazing team. My family and I stayed at Upon Lisbon for a long mid-week stay and had a lovely time. We would highly recommend and would return again.
We stayed in an apartment with two rooms and they were very comfortable with great views of the Benfica stadium. The service was fantastic and all of the staff were friendly. The hotel was a short 6 minute walk from the metro which is cheap and accessible) and also a short walk from the shopping centre.

Lovely hotel with great little touches like a personal letter to welcome us, daily cookies and kombucha and super friendly and helpful staff.
In particular Reuben, Eric, Barbara, Apu and Francisco were really helpful and lovely, especially when my husband was ill. We’ll definitely be back.
The pool is much bigger than the photos suggest and uses the modern salt rather than chlorine so doesn’t leave you stinking of chlorine. The food is excellent too.

Very convenient location close to centre of Cascais, where there are many restaurants and bars. Hotel staff were very helpful, and as the hotel is a former fort it has a unique feel. Fantastic views over the marina from the breakfast room!
