"We stayed at The Cavendish eight years ago and were slightly nervous that returning might not live up to such wonderful memories, as can so often happen. Happily, it was every bit as special as we remembered. From the moment we arrived, Ingrid and Marie gave us such a warm welcome and made us feel instantly relaxed and at home. Our room was lovely, spacious and spotless, and throughout our stay everyone was so friendly and attentive. We were always greeted with a smile and made to feel incredibly valued, with time for a chat and genuine interest in our plans for the day. The evening wine tasting with Raouf was such a lovely touch and something we had fondly remembered from our previous visit. We were delighted to see it was still part of the experience, and it was the perfect way to begin the evening before heading out for dinner. We are so pleased that The Cavendish is just as charming and special as we remembered. We cannot wait to return to this wonderful boutique hotel."

"First of all the photos and the actual apartment look completely different. The actual was very dark and dingy. It was like they brought lights into the space and lit the heck out of it. So expect a very dark apartment. All the plants on the patio were dead, the shower had a lot of grime. There was a large coffee spill in the kitchen that hadn’t been cleaned up. There were no instructions for the TV so we never could turn on the TV after trying each of the four remotes with no instructions. No instructions for Wi-Fi no Wi-Fi code instructions for air-conditioning and I took a lot of photos which I’m going to try and attach here if I can. I do not recommend this place. We called the number for complaints and we were promised a discount for a future stay and then the woman Alexandra was totally unresponsive. I gave multiple attempts to rectify the situation and nothing was done. Since we charged an American Express, we will probably go back and dispute. We really did not want to stay there, but we searched for other properties and due to the fact that it was one of the largest trade shows, there was nothing available so we were stuck in a filthy horrible place. Be sure and look at the photos and you’ll see exactly what I’m talking about."

"The A/C was leaking and pointed towards the head of our bed. Bedding was not really comfortable , I ended up with neck pain and a runny nose. "

"Hotel Albert 1er is a charming quiet hotel removed from but very close to the main beach activity as well as the historic area of Cannes (le Suquet) - the perfect combination of atmosphere and convenience. But what we loved most was our hostess, who made us feel right at home and also made available / served up an outstanding buffet breakfast. We ate on a beautiful, lush green terrace - perfect way to start our day. Also, the room decor was simple but lovely as well as clean and comfortable. Parking next to the hotel. Highly recommend Hotel Albert 1er."

"The room was nice. Air con worked really well. Location is convenient. My only issue was the cleanliness of the floors both bathroom and bedroom. There was hair from previous person on the floors. "

"The size of the apartment is decent, it's equipped with a few things (kettle, microwave, stove, fridge,vacuum cleaner, cutlery, pots and a few plates). The air conditioning is old and not strong enough for August heat, unfortunately. There's only one unit for the whole apartment which would be all right if it worked properly. Make sure you check for shower gel, soap, tea and coffee, as well as the TV remote in case you need it. If you don't find them, ask for them. The parking lot is really tight, but it is closed and safe. It's a good place for visiting Cannes for a longer stay, we were just in transit. The director/receptionist who checked us out was very kind. "
