The rooms were clean warm and i liked the fact that the shower was strong and the water got into a hot temperature quicker unlike other small hotels ive stayed in,the breakfast choice was good with several options not just english breakfast, i would definitely stay in this hotel again.

This hotel has everything. Lovely rooms, cheerful and helpful staff, a great restaurant and the bar has everything you may want… As a lone traveller I was made to feel comfortable, safe and very very welcome. Thank you to all at the Toby.

Nice clean bedroom with huge comfortable bed, could benefit from new pillows though as one was flat. Staff in both the hotel and restaurant friendly and very efficient. Only stayed one night on bed and breakfast rate but had a celebration meal on the first night in the restaurant as part of a group of 21 people. The staff were excellent and everyone enjoyed their meals. Breakfast had a good choice and the cooked food was fresh and hot. Would stay again if in the area.

Quiet, easily accessible location Spotlessly clean, spacious, comfortable room and beds. Very attractive bar and restaurant area - good food from a varied menu at reasonable prices. Excellent, welcoming and helpful staff who were very quick to resolve a couple of issues thereby ensuring our stay was a a great one - have no hesitation in recommending

On the one jight that we stayed we could not fault any part of the hotel and service. The staff from reception to the breakfast staff and even the girls who were servicing the rooms were excellent and should be commended'

Trip to Manchester
Hotel was great, stayed in 212 was nice and had good shower. Only complainant would be bed was a bit small as had single and a standard double and mattress was a bit hard. Cracking bar to sit and have drinks and enjoy the fire. Breakfast was great in morning, plenty of options. Good value would definitely stay again when up visiting family

Almost perfect.
Almost a perfect stay, let down only by the lack of adult-only space in the main bar area, which sometimes sounded like a crèche… if it gets unbearable then go across the carpark to the Italian restaurant, which is highly recommended. Great breakfast.

Lovely hotel
Attractive hotel, friendly staff, down to earth, smiley while being completely professional. They help create a lovely atmosphere at breakfast. Good breakfast and LOTS of parking spaces, plenty.

Needs new carpets.
It seems like they are half way through a modernisation. Room was warm in the winter, and some parts were new. But working the shower was hard, and the carpets are in an absolute state, dusty all along the edges. Not what it used to be.

Very nice hotel rooms a little noisy, can hear wardrobe doors being closed in other rooms. Breakfast excellent.

Very nice hotel and nice room on 3rd floor, breakfast excellent. Issue was “you are now entering quite zone” but the rooms have paper thin walls, I would like to thank the two ladies in the room next to mine for talking over the hairdryer which was going for 2 hours!! Yes 2 hours with a hairdryer going ~ Not the hotels fault but defo ruined my evenin.
