We have stayed in both and the staff have always been great, making this a great value. I usually prefer more modern-looking hotels with more spacious rooms, but the location, service, price and great attached restaurant (Twigs) make it a great value. I have never taken the shuttle to Mayo since the several block distance makes it is a nice walk...
