Top Rockwood Hotel Reviews

Knights Inn Somerset
6/10 Okay
"Clean and comfortable. The property was in bad shape. If this was a house you bought, you’d take it down to the studs and do a complete rebuild. Just really old and rickety. But I spent only one waking hour there so it was ok. Oh and the main road to get there was closed, had to take a detour. "

Log Cabin Lodge & Suites
10/10 Excellent
"The Lodge was very rustic in decor but modern with the amenities that help make a stay away from home comfortable. The room, including the bathroom, was clean, the beds were comfortable, the linens provided were sufficient. The coffee maker was a bit lacking since it leaked all over the table. But we were most appreciative of the complimentary bottles of water provided.
I don't know if this was true of other rooms, but our thermostat was set on a "cool" setting of 67 which meant that was the warmest the temp could get in the room before the A/C kicked on. Since it was still rather chilly thru the nights during our stay, our actual room temp got down to 62, and we had to rely on using the (electric) fireplace to take the chill off first thing in the morning since we (understandably) weren't supposed to run it while we were sleeping.
The check in/customer service desk was actually part of the gift shop and zoo entrance, and the staff there was extremely friendly and helpful. The Lodge even has pet friendly options for those requiring that. Many area activities and attractions are within a decent distance thru the lovely countryside."

Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Somerset
10/10 Excellent
"Loved the room, courteous staff and wide selection of breakfast items. Will definitely stay again when in the area."

Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Donegal by IHG
8/10 Good
"Breakfast was near to non-existent and low quality and not what we've come to expect from this brand."

Nemacolin
10/10 Excellent
"This is a beautiful luxury resort with all the amenities and it has a super friendly atmosphere. The spa experience is top notch and the therapists are excellent. There were some areas that were not open and under renovation during our stay. There were also a few restaurants that were closed which made the selection limited. Still, the accommodations are beautiful and the 2200 acres spectacular. A lot to see and do so if you are alone or traveling with kids there are plenty of activities."

Dollar Inn
8/10 Good
"This was a no-frills, old-style motel. Great for an inexpensive stay for a weary traveler. Normally I swear clear of these low budget motels as they’re generally pretty sketchy. However I took a chance on this one because the reviews were very positive. I was not disappointed. The main thing is that it was clean. Not much on amenities, but clean. For the price, that’s all I expected. I’d stay again for a quick, cheap place to stay on a road trip."

Slopeside Hotel, A Vail Resorts Property
10/10 Excellent
"Very good for families. Lots of things to do def no room for boredom."

Ohiopyle Suites
6/10 Okay
"It was fine. It was just surprising at the same price as very nice bed-and-breakfasts along bike route."

The Lodge at Chalk Hill
6/10 Okay
"There was paint peeling in every room, k-cups were from Dollar General - specifically clover valley brand and the shampoo, conditioner, shower gel were all cheap off brand I found at Walmart. I get it, I shop DG and Walmart but when paying $200 a night for a room expectations are a little higher. There are several hotels in the area that are much less expensive with better amenities."
