"This hotel is in a great location. Close to Royal Mile, museums and shopping. Downside is no parking so best to skip car rental til you are ready to go to next location in Scotland. The food was excellent with complimentary Champaign at arrival and breakfast."

"The staff was excellent. The room was extremely small. I was a little irritated to see on my final bill that I was charged for a coffee. I was sitting at the reception waiting for the manager to complete my bill when one part waiters offered me a cup of coffee, which I accepted. I didn’t ask for it, but I thought it was a nice gesture only to find I was charged 7 1/2 pounds for it. That was frustrating "

"The location is excellent. Easy access to attractions by walking, train or car. The unit was very clean and stocked with all the dishes, towels and other necessities. The bed was described as a king size. I was told that this was a standard UK king size however we stayed in 10 different hotels on this trip and they all had large or what we call a king size bed. "We loved the hotel. The location was convenient. The breakfast was excellent and the staff very helpful. Two minor complaints: 1 - the room was too dark. Definitely needed more lighting; and 2 - our drain in the shower kept filling up and we had to turn the shower off so that it wouldn’t overflow. Would definitely stay there again. "

Lovley bathrooms and kitchen Great location right in city centre and is only 5 mins to all uphill to all major shopping areas and restaurants. Theatre is now t far either if you are going to a show . "An excellent location off the Royal Mile. The room was spacious, and the in-room washer/dryer made our trip easier. The kitchen was well-equipped and there was a Sainsbury nearby for groceries. This room (#4) faces the back courtyard and church - we found it very light-filled yet without street noise. There is no elevator, but the steps were easy."
