"A very comfortable country pub, with great food, top chef and well kept beer. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. My room was a tad small and basic but the bathroom was modern and hey this is a 16th century building and I enjoyed my stay."

"On arrival Expedia booking which I paid in advance was declined but I wasn't informed so tried to pay with amex , but they wouldn't accept it. So had to pay on alternative card. Room was hot and stuffy, there were no bath towels or shower gel. The small kettle had a very small cable which was not detachable and was a stretch to get to a socket which I subsequently burnt my hand on trying to pour a drink. No hot food in the hotel incl evening meals and sparse continental breakfast was poor"

"Disappointing that the breakfast description from reviews was "with some guests finding it plentiful and others appreciating the free and simple offering" it was more on the simple side, as in it was a selection of cereal and some bread to do toast, and with Orange and Apple Juice options and the usual Tea/Coffee. Also on the pictures, number 8 (as I type this) implied a goody bag was provided, but wasn't. Particularly, it looked like a yoghurt pot. There wasn't even yoghurt provided at...

"Lovely clean, spacious and comfortable room. Enjoyed breakfast, plenty of choice. Spa amenities were nice but spoilt a little by noisy children’s swimming lessons between 3 and 7."

"This is a fantastic hotel, with a great staff and location. I would definitely stay there again. The room is on the small side, but adequate; the staff are kind and friendly; the lobby cafe is excellent (we ate two meals there), and it's perfectly located next to the train station and within easy walking or bus distance of Cambridge town."

"Excellent Breakfast - continental and cooked. Rooms are quaint - Wooden beams and low ceilings in places, and floors have unevenness of old floors. Staircases are steep and narrow. Rooms have plenty of space. Our room had a bath and shower attachment but other rooms have shower so one might need to ask if you have a preference. Very helpful staff. Dinner was good but a little pricey (maybe that was par for the area?). Outside area was beautiful - on the cricket green. Lots of parking space...

"For someone who doesn't cope well with noise from others, this isn't a place for you. Some male voices talking in communal area were heard multiple times throughout the night. I won't risk staying at another hostel unless there's absolutely no other choice. The shower room could use more than one hook for people to hang clothes and a towel. It's not possible to hang all items on one single hook."

"My favorite place to stay so far in my travels. The location was perfect for walking to train station and all kids of shops. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was so nice, cute decor & very clean. The large bathtub was a huge bonus! Will stay here again"
