"During our stay there was ongoing construction, and we were woken up as early as 6 a.m. by loud banging noises. On top of that, both the pool and hot tub were out of order, which was very disappointing. The room itself did not feel clean. The floors felt dirty, and the bedding had stains, hair, and crumbs on it, making it seem like the sheets hadn’t been properly washed or changed. "It’s about the view and location with this one. Sitting on the patio overlooking the water was definite highlight. This hotel is quite dated as others have said, and in many cases is quite rundown. Our room had a musty smell to it. The bathroom is sizable with lots of full length mirrors. It’s very nice that they deliver breakfast which is quite basic, but we appreciated that the fruit was very fresh. It was is super easy to walk everywhere in Monterey. "
