"My recent stay at this Microtel was decent, but a few things stood out. The room was generally fine, but I was surprised to find there was no iron. Having to go downstairs to borrow one from the staff was inconvenient, and I found it strange that the iron is shared among all guests. It would be much better if each room had its own.
The check-in process was also a bit unusual. The front desk asked for my debit card, but then the card reader was positioned for me to swipe myself. It wasn't a big deal, but I found it a bit different from other hotels where the staff handles the card.
Lastly, the bathroom had some permanent stains on the toilet that were quite off-putting. I've stayed in many hotels, and I've never seen anything like it. While the rest of the bathroom seemed clean, those stains were hard to ignore.
Overall, the stay was okay, but these issues definitely detracted from the experience. I hope the management takes note and addresses these points for future guests."
