"Parking was easy and the area was quiet except for the occasional aircraft noise. The doors are to the outside and you could see through a crack in the door to the outside. Made it feel a little unsafe. Expected better from a names brand hotel and looked better in the pics. "

"Our bathtub oozed dark colored material from the tile around the tub while I took my shower. So that was disappointing. Also all the carpets were worn and need replacing ."

"My husband and I were constantly saying that this was one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in. The staff were very friendly and extremely welcoming. The room was exceptionally clean. The only issue I had was that the breakfast was not free as it was at the other hotels we stayed at. I give them credit, they let us know ahead of time that we had to pay for our breakfast. We chose to stay there even when we knew that the breakfast was not included in the price of our room. We just went to McDonald’s and got our breakfast, so it was not a big issue. Although I still wish the breakfast was included but the coffee was free😃. I will still give them 5 stars ⭐️ because of all the other great features! I highly recommend The Hawthorne to anyone looking for an exceptional hotel to stay at!!!"

"The room at Suburban Studios was very clean and seemed fairly recently painted. It had a full size fridge, stovetop, microwave, and sink in the kitchen area. The exterior of the building was under renovation at the time. Despite the clean room, I would not stay here again. I didn’t feel safe. There was one arrest, ambulance and fire truck at 3 am, loud banging on my door telling me I need to move my car for the painters - wasn’t my car that needed to be moved, strangers outside of my door at 1 am one night, the smell of weed one day, people hanging outside at 11 pm, etc."

"Decent stay. But the hotel felt dirty and not well maintained. Breakfast was blah. I had to beg for room to be serviced. Stated 4 nights serviced once. The ice machine area on the 3rd floor was dirty. The pool was nice. The only microwave was old and dirty."

"we love the location of this hotel when we go to Winston! Within walking distance to our favorite places."

"It's great, plenty of parking, friendly staff, safe. Rooms were clean with microwave and fridge. Bathroom was a bit small and needed an update. Sink was draining slow. Found a couple of tiny roaches but that wasnt a big deal. Hotels have lots of people moving jn and out and things like that could happen. Breakfast was included. I will stay here again also about a mile away from shopping, food and everything else"
