Rosencat is an excellent accomodation in a well maintained and beautifully renovated traditional Japanese home. The building amenities are classy and so are the proprietors. They have an excellent guest service approach, and the accomodation is excellent value for money.

Warm welcome, great price

A family-run homestay. I was fascinated by the ypical Japanese home, the minimal design, sliding doors, mats for beds, the ingenious storage... MY guestroom was Western in every way (tv, upright bed, a.c.) but I enjoyed my insight into real Japanese life. The proprietress is a master gardener, too.

We had a great 3-night stay at Rosencat. Our host was lovely and happy to give plenty of recommendations for things nearby. She speaks excellent English which was very helpful for us. Great location with delicious kaiten sushi nearby (Maruishi). It was really helpful to have somewhere to park our car too. Sound travels easily but guests are very considerate of this and we had peaceful sleeps. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a great base to explore Sado Island from.

とにかく、猫ちゃんが可愛い！ 2匹とも懐っこくて、夜には部屋まで遊びに来てくれて、沢山触らせてくれて癒されました。 明るく、元気なオーナーさんもとても親切に観光のことを教えてくれました。 お宿は、オーナーさんが暮らしている大きなお家の一部屋に寝泊まりして、親戚やおばあちゃんの家に遊びに行ったよーっていう、懐かしい感覚でした。 佐渡に行った際は、また必ずこちらのお宿の予約をとります。

冬に思い付きの佐渡一人旅で前日予約にて宿泊しました。 オーナーさんがフレンドリーにお部屋や洗面所、おすすめの温泉やお食事スポットまで丁寧に紹介してくださり、wifiはたまに部屋の隅では切れましたが概ね大満足な佐渡滞在となりました。 猫ちゃんたちもお出迎えから愛想よく近づいてきてくれて癒されます。 素泊まりで佐渡グルメを満喫する予定でここに決めましたが、宿泊費もお安く実家っぽさもお気に入りで、気持ちよく過ごすことができました。また佐渡旅行の際はぜひ伺いたいと思います。

名前の通り、猫の館、猫好きには言う事無し、私は寧ろ猫は好きでは無いが、その私でも大丈夫で接客上手な猫と思います。料理とかは分かりません。風呂はシャワーのみ？フェリーの遅い便で着き素泊まりだったのでそれで十分でした。トキは直ぐ近くの田んぼで普通に居ました、近づき過ぎ無いよう配慮が要ります。小さいながらでも、薔薇園？もあります。
