"Great new water park! "

"Very small rooms in this old-fashioned roadside motel. Some cosmetic upgrades have taken place but there's only so much you can do for an old cinder block building. The biggest problem was heat. It's radiant heat with no way to control it. They have a fake thermostat for a central air furnace on the wall, but it does nothing. It's March and the only way to get the heat below 80 is to leave windows open! Doesn't feel to safe leaving ground level windows open. We were roasting hot. We also had ants. The mattress was super hard, so in conjunction with the heat, we didn't sleep much. The motel is pet friendly, which means they charge you $20 per night for pets. Not sure how this qualifies as friendly. Our dog didn't use linens, towels, or eat some dry cereal from their "continental breakfast" so I'm not sure why we paid more. Might be better to be here in summer and use the wall mounted air conditioner, but we'll never come back in winter. "

"Someone tried to get into our room - they opened the dead bolt but the latch stopped them. We called the front desk. He came apologized said he saw nothing but would have mgmt get back to us and review cameras. We checked out in our pjs at 11pm and they will NOT give us a refund. They said it was the front desk guy and it was an accident. WTH ... Why wouldn't he have said that then .... "

"The parking lot flooded during our stay and we had to move our vehicle in ankle-deep water at 9:30 pm—only because we happened to look out the window. There was no warning from management that that side of the lot floods, even though it’s apparently a known issue and it had been raining all day. The room also had several problems: an unpleasant smell, very poor lighting, and no full-length mirror. We were in town for a dance competition, so it made getting our dancer ready much harder. To make matters worse, we were woken up both nights in the middle of the night by people fighting near our room. We notified staff, but nothing changed. Overall, management needs to communicate known issues like flooding and do a better job addressing disturbances and maintaining the rooms."
