"Had a choice between this motel, which was a little out of the way, or a motorway chain. This did take extra time from the M11, but was it ever worth it. "Lovely area - Harlow Park. The property has a beautiful well- kept garden. The owner and staff were friendly and helpful, the atmosphere in the house was homely. Food and drink available to buy and prepare on site in the well- eqipped kitchen. Books and board games galore. "

"Easy to find in an ideal location off the M25 near the M11 junction. Excellent parking, very clean room and bathroom (with bath). Staff could not have been more welcoming even though they might well have preferred to be somewhere else over Christmas. Dinner on Christmas Eve and breakfast on Christmas morning were first rate"

"Stayed at the Ivy Hill Hotel for a couple of nights visiting family for Christmas. An excellent hotel for a quiet break but within easy reach of London. Staff were fantastic. We had an evening meal in the restaurant and breakfast - both very nice. We were given a room upgrade and it was more spacious than our previous visit - very comfortable. Would definitely book again."

There is an additional charge for parking, which I found disappointing as a guest staying at the hotel, which is not in a town or city centre location Parking is +£12 per night.. The EV charging points are plentiful, but charging is expensive. "
