We spent 3 nights at Sa’Moana and had a fantastic time. The staff were wonderful - attentive but not overbearing, and a pleasure to chat to and get to know. The setting by the beach is beautiful, and the rooms are well spaced out along the coast, interspersed with palm trees which gives them a very private feel. Kayaks and paddle boards can be used at any time, and there is a beautiful lagoon nearby to explore. The property also has a small but well equipped gym. Overall a great find and one we would highly recommend!
Amazing little boutique style resort on a private beach. I’ve moved and traveled in Samoa and have stayed at many of the hotels and beach games. Sa’moana is definitely my new favourite spot!
I loved that it was right on the beach, the road down is pretty hard but once you're there it's fine. It was great that you could use the paddleboards and kayaks. The staff were really lovely.
Only downside was for a resort of this stature I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the bedding - mould and grease marks on the sheets. As well as the quality of the mattress.

Great location, Samoan staff very helpful, excellent gluten free meals.
Fabulous find! Secluded little resort on the ocean with private bungalows that have outdoor showers! A real treat. Staff very helpful and friendly - they live in an adjacent village. Stunning views, great beachfront, good snorkelling, good drinks and tasty food - what more could you ask for? Even the gym was pretty well equipped albeit a little dated. Perfect place to escape to for a quiet, secluded holiday.
Lovely place, fly screens on the windows and lovely outdoor bathrooms. strongly recommend the wahoo fish - compliments to the chef. The road is a bit of a monster so would recommend exploring on foot during stay and seeing clams on the way in or out.
It's a perfect sized resort. Under 10 cabins so does not feel crowded. Food and staff are amazing. Facilities are breathtaking. From hiking to snorkling to beach bumming !
mattress inconfortable
fan so loud you can't hear yourself speaking: impossible to slow it down, you're either freezing or dying of heat
outdoor shower: crab family reunion while we were showering
sheets: not clean, itchy, should have more since it's freezing when the fan is on
swimming pool: crabs everywhere and leeches jumping
no connexion at all
got food poisoning, food wasn't fresh, got really sick and super expensive for what it worths
staff cleaning your room while you're still using it
road to reach the bungalows is in terrible state, broke our car because of bumps
not easy to find at all, not even on maps
We loved our stay here. The place is incredible. Easy and relaxed vibe. Food is amazing. Very clean. Can not recommend this place enough. Hire a 4wd car. Makes the drive a lot more comfortable but can easily be done in a normal car.
Loved our time there! The pool was a bit of a let down as when we arrived it was rather dirty and didn’t look like the amazing photos advertised but once cleaned was enjoyable. There was no service at the property for the network I was on which was kind of annoying as we were already half way through our trip so there was no point in going out buying a Samoan SIM card just for that. Would’ve been handy if the bluesky SIM cards were available to buy at reception! Food was great and lovely breakfast every morning but couldn’t enjoy a few drinks at the end of each day as much as I would’ve liked to as the cocktail list was quiet expensive and happy hour didn’t make much difference to the cost. Great vibe and lovely staff 😊
Beautiful chilled-out resort, small and friendly. Great base for exploring the island (make sure you have a suitable vehicle for the 15-min track down to the resort). Restaurant serves wonderful food. Lovely view from the deck and back-to-nature outside bathroom was great!
The perfect holiday! Wonderful location off the beaten track which is exactly what we wanted. Food was good, friendly staff especially Moses and Tanga who our daughter absolutely loved. Don't be put off by the road/track - it's absolutely worth it!
Lovely location, friendly and very helpful staff, poor road access, a higher riding all wheel drive vehicle makes sense. We were the only guests there for 4 days which made it difficult for the staff, as we were out and about most days.
Food was ok, but not value for money which was one of the reasons we were out and about most days.
It was perfect if you want to lay and hear the waves with drinks bring to you..

Amazing service, only down fall is the road leading to the hotel, very very bad. Not worth the drive. Otherwise amazing people and beautiful views. Food was average, not very big for price.
Scenery is spectacular. If you want to be off the grid: this is the place to be.
No internet and VERY quiet. Not much to do within walking distance other than a 15min walk to the lagoon where Survivor was filmed in 2009.
They have a pool table and some board games. Lots of books. A gym with some really good equipment. A natural infinity pool and the menu is great. The drive to the resort is painful but this is not the resorts fault. Enjoy
