Local Taxis difficult to get hold off for a night out. But otherwise a great location once youve negotiated the narrow road and speed bumps to get there

30 years old building, looks tired and dated and needs a major overhaul. It’s not a country club, it’s a leisure centre with a golf course. Some staff were below what you would expect of a 3 star let alone a 4 star. Would not visit again or return.

Our spacious self catering apartments nestled within 180 acres of beautiful landscape with a large range of facilities available at no additional cost are a huge hit with our other guests. We pride ourselves on our customer service and are generally commended for the high level of service we give. Everything was perfect again, except sheets provided for spare bed was covered with dog hair. When we phoned the reception, first they said it is late(9pm) and they don’t have it. Then they said give them some time and come and collect from reception, then 5min later they ended up bringing it to our room. That was our second time there. I would go again , as I said everything else was good

Really roomy well equipped apartment. Only possible criticism is that the bathroom / toilet was ensuite with the bedroom . . . had someone be using the sofa bed in the living room they would have had to commute through the bedroom. Huge carpark. Walkable (about a kilometre, up and down hill) to Saltash for buses to Plymouth, or to walk over the bridge and get fabulous views of the Tamar Estuary and Brunel's bridge. (But wouldn't want to walk back from Saltash to the hotel in darkness as part of the lane has no footpath). Lovely pool / sauna (etc) / gym . . . also (apparently) squash courts and a sports hall (there is presumably a mechanism for booking the last two?). Also - again apparently - a children's play area. Pool had a water slide. Friendly and efficient staff, and a bistro / bar upstairs in the main building - but our apartment had pretty decent kitchen and cooking facilities so mainly self catered. Can't fault the place.

Always good
Always love our time at the club. Apartments are clean and comfortable, on site restaurant is great. Of course biggest attraction is the pool which has a sloping floor so kids can be in the same pool at depths they are comfortable with

The facilities at this country club were lovely, and we really enjoyed how clean and comfortable our luxury apartment was. However, the food definitely let the club down and really wasn't worth what we paid. The breakfast was below average, and the morning serving unit was dirty. The coffee was just from a machine, which was broken and sprouted milk everywhere. If the food was better, we would have been returning, but unfortunately, it was a bit of a letdown. The swimming pool was good but the spa was very busy. The flumes were also shut on the Sunday morning so our children couldn't use them which was disappointing.

Thank you for your review following your recent stay with us, we are delighted that you enjoyed the facilities and the apartments.We are disappointed to hear that we fell short of our high standard at breakfast, our breakfast offering of locally sourced, freshly cooked breakfast is normally well received by our customers however we have passed these comments to our Executive Head Chef for review. Although it is most unusual for our coffee machine to fail, we have reported this to the manufacturer and haven’t had any issues since this occurrence. In our quest to give our customers the perfect experience we identified the opportunity to offer our customers an improved coffee offering and installed the Cornish Coffee machine to elevate the choice for our guests in comparison to many establishments that only offer ground coffee at breakfast.We have asked our Leisure Operations Manager to review your comments about the flume as there is no reason for it to be closed on a Sunday Morning. We are only unable to open the flume during swimming lessons and Aqua Classes; however, we did not hold any of these activities on the Sunday morning. We are now able to open the flume at any time as we have a traffic light system in operation at the top of the flume.We sincerely hope you come back and visit us again in the future. In February we are refurbishing the entire Brasserie and will be launching a new menu at the same time.

Lovely get away for the family.
Fantastic break for the family. The pool is just right with a great slide that the kids loved timing themselves on! Lovely friendly staff from reception to cleaners. Great atmosphere and the detail they put into making the crazy golf Hallowe’en ready was phenomenal.

beautiful location out from the main busy area yet not too quiet! room was just enough for me n my 2 girls. good breakfast unfortunately we didn't make use of much as both daughter n myself arent a big eater still good for the money i paid. little thing that matters though ... toilet rolls could have been bit better quality it was very thin layer 🙃 overall we enjoyed our stay x

We had a wonderful family stay at China Fleet in Saltash. The accommodation was spacious and comfortable, and the staff were incredibly attentive and helpful. The swimming pool was a big hit with our family, especially the water slide. They spent hours splashing around and having fun. There was also a sauna and steam room, which we enjoyed using after a long day of exploring. We ate in the hotel restaurant a few times and the food was always good. There was a good variety of options to choose from, and the service was excellent. We also took advantage of the hotel's leisure facilities, which include a golf course, tennis courts, and a gym. We had a great time playing mini golf and the gym was well-equipped and clean. Overall, we had a fantastic stay at China Fleet. It's a great place to stay with a family, and we would definitely recommend it to others.

Friendly hotel good for families
We stayed as we needed to sleep over near Plymouth after getting the ferry over from France before driving north. The hotel rang in advance so I let them know we would be late and they said that although reception was closed security would take our payment and give us the key. The apartment was clean and comfortable, they provided tea and coffee and fresh milk in the fridge - the kitchen has cups, plates, pans, microwave and oven etc. After we checked out we could still access the pool and play area, pool was busy with families and had a lovely atmosphere. We ate lunch in the restaurant which had an indoor play area in the next room which worked well for us. We could have easily stayed for longer! We are used to self catering air bnb and camping so it was all pretty novel for us!

Fun for all the family
Whata great stay at the China Fleet Country Club. This kids and grownups loved the pool, playground and funzone! Dad enjoyed the Top Tracer driving range. Saltash is also a great base to explore the beaches of Cornwall. Would definitely recomend and will most certainly be back again.

Very clean apartment with everything you need. Excellent pool with flume on site and other facilities including a soft play for 7 and unders. Very clean everywhere across the whole site. Food on site very good and reasonably priced. Great service and staff. Our children loved it here, we’ll be back.

Lovely well equipped apartment. Good value for 4 people. Breakfast was good. Pool was great as was relaxation area.
