"This gorgeous resort exceeded my expectations in every way. Our week was luxurious, peaceful, and beautiful.
All of the staff were so kind and attentive. We were assigned our own trip ambassador whom we saw in person multiple times but also was very responsive through a WhatsApp group she set up. Rafaela helped us schedule restaurant reservations and fitness classes, arrange transportation, and most helpfully of all was there when I needed a doctor and didn’t know what to do. I was so grateful...

"The hotel has the potential to be a best in class place. The infrastructure is there but staff should be better trained. There was no water from 3-5 PM in our rooms for 2 days and the person checking us in AT 3:00 should have informed us of that. Instead there is a little note on the table easily missed and we didn’t see until we tried to use the restroom in the room. "Balcones del Caribe is a beautiful spot with an excellent location and easy access to the beach. The complex feels very safe, and the staff were always helpful when we needed general information.
My only concerns were about the condition of the village: the back door didn’t have a proper lock, the bathroom door wasn’t closing well, and the safe box wasn’t working during our stay.
Overall, it’s a lovely place with great potential—just needs a bit more attention to maintenance."
