"Love the convenience of this hotel, with the airport shuttle and complimentary breakfast it’s perfect for arriving and returning to SJO. I wish the restaurant was open later or the surrounding areas to eat, and I want to suggest putting in an ATM in the lobby. This hotel is beautiful."

There was also an animal living in the ceiling, and black fecese continually fell onto our bed. They did not have any of the same room types for us to switch into, so we stuck it out for the night. "The restaurant was good for dinner, not a la carte breakfast which was so-so and overpriced. There were things advertised for that were not available like all day coffee and tea; room service; inability to bill your room for food in the restaurant. The gift shops were great. The room could have been better. There was no microwave nor an amoir to hang coats and put away clothes. Rewards amount wasn't given or clear. The concierge was helpful in recommending other tours that her company couldn't...

"When we got in our room the shower head was missing. We heard banging all night and discovered in the morning that there was a truck parked outside our room with horses in it."

The beds were comfortable and clean. They provided way more than enough towels which was nice. However I felt like the place needed upgrades and wasn’t worth the big price. "This is a great boutique hotel for someone looking for a reclusive and quite stay. It is located in the mountains with gorgeous views. Fyi. The standard room only has one queen size bed. If you're traveling with friends, it is best to book separate rooms unless you want to share a bed. The staff are friendly, helpful and professional. We are so glad to have chosen LADE."
