Very large spacious modern room . Comfy beds good blackout blinds. Large bathtub and nice shower over it . All staff friendly. Good hotel gym modern equipment and nice view from it. Good location lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Nice breakfast enough choice, the made fresh omelettes are tasty like that it is proper crockery and cutlery rather than disposable. Pool area very clean and towels provided saw the chlorine levels being checked and added . Large bubbling hot tub. Very good stay

We choose the hotel as it is next to a great golf complex overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The large oak panelled room opened up onto a spacious veranda overlooking the eighteen green and ocean beyond. The staff were friendly and efficient. Several dining options from very casual in the snug bar to fine dining in the restaurant, all with great food. We stayed three nights and wished it was longer.

Beautiful hotel with large pool areas. Completely separate pool for children meaning the pool area for adults was calm and peaceful. Definitely need a car as the hotel is not near Carlsbad itself or the beach and is a good 30 miles down the I5 from San Diego. Bear in mind that the price does NOT include a $30 dollar per day valet charge for car parking plus a $35 dollar per day service charge. This adds quite an amount to the price shown. However, for a relaxing, grown up experience I...

Great location and a lovely property, rooms also very well appointed. Fantastic views. Slight downside is very limited restaurant and bars which are shut more than open. Last orders at the pool for a drink around 3:30. Poor variety on menus too. Plenty of places to dine out though, so their loss. Tip: park across the street for much less than the valet price.

This is a special hotel. Our room faced the beautiful ocean, comfy beds, brilliant staff. The pool was busy, with limited sunbeds, but we appreciated being able to use the Sea Bird’s amenities too. We would happily return and recommend.

We only stayed for one night on our way to our final destination but we very much enjoyed our visit. The staff from the valet parking to the housekeeping and pool staff were all very pleasant and very helpful. There is a shopping mall across the street with a free shuttle service. The pool area was a particular favourite of ours.

Amazing hotel

Excellent location with good parking option over the road. The hotel staff were very helpful and facilities good, would have liked a kettle for making tea however hot water was provided on request to the room.

Great rooms, convenient location and wonderful courtyard.

Very nice spot. Makes you feel safe. Nice pool and paddle area
