I had a nice stay at San Remo. Location is excellent and staff are very helpful and friendly. I’d recommend it, especially if you’re on a budget but want to be in a nice area in North Beach.

We liked the location as we were able to walk to many attractions. Rooms were small, but adequate. And bathrooms were top notch.

Shops , grocery stores and Ferry are walking distance. No parking in premises, need to park in public parking with a fee. Other than it’s a good hotel to stay in, hang loose.

Solid value for money. The newly decorated room was perfectly fine but for a small extra amount on their renovation they should have included a desk/side table. Comfortable bed, quiet, decent location. Whole hotel could use a thorough Hoover!

Super quirky and cool place. We got a room with its own bathroom. Room is very small, no TV and the barn style bathroom door almost fell on me while I was sleeping. We let the staff know and he was very apologetic, really nice fellow, I with I could remember his name. It was also close to a ton of cool places. I would definitely stay again.

I liked the room with the queen bed and our private bath and window to the outside. It was perfect for 2 adults. Also- great location- easy walk to the piers! Thank you San Remo staff!!

Very small room but the lay out was convenient. The price totally matched the size but surprisingly the bathroom was completely renovated and practical and the bed as comfy a any Hilton. Location was phenomenal. Great coffee included. The insulation did not exist so I heard the very noisy neighbors yelling as if they were in my room. Also the ship's horns were on and on by night.

10 minutes walk from pier 39 and super easy to get around. Pretty clean and safe. Nice place if you just need to sleep and shower and want to be out and about. (We did get a private bathroom)

The best thing about this hotel was the location. Other than that, the rooms were exceptionally small, and you could hear full conversations from people in other rooms. Also, the street outside (Water Street) is exceptionally loud especially in the morning.

We had a wonderful stay at the San Remo Hotel! The historic charm and unique character made our visit feel like a true San Francisco experience. The hotel was clean and well maintained, and the location was perfect - within easy walking distance of Fisherman's Wharf, North Beach, and so many great restaurants.

Good location nice staff cleaning the rooms. The receptionist was as interesting as a ROCK. NO SMILES NO THANK YOU FOR COMING NOTHING ABSOLUTELY THE WORST RECEPTION WE HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. MADE US FEEL UNWELCOME AND WE WILL NEVER COME BACK AGAIN. HONESTLY. OTHER GUESTS I SPOKE TO AT THE PROPERTY FELT THE SAME WAY.

Stayed at one of the newer and cleaner queen rooms w/ private restroom (which looks incredible). Amenities are bare bones (water/coffee machines at lobby) but the biggest plus is the quiet location. Walking to the North Beach strip does get crowded but heading back here somehow cuts all the noise.
