"Family friendly and within walking distance of fishermen’s wharf"
Embassy Suites by Hilton San Rafael at Marin Center

"Room had maintenance issues that needed to be addressed. Told the front desk but did not impact my stay"
Travelodge by Wyndham San Francisco Bay
8/10 Good
"Location is perfect. Hotel is a bit on the older side and feels old once you get in but nothing out of ordinary happen. They have parking for $25 a day which is very reasonable for the area. There's usually other hotels without parking or too expensive for paying a daily fee. There were concerns about getting the windows broken in the vehicle but luckily nothing happened during my stay. I made sure I didn't leave anything on plain sight that might encourage anyone to break in. If I'm on a budget, this is a good option."
Argonaut Hotel

"Great location and very friendly staff. Very comfortable bed. Lots of places to walk to and see. Great restaurants all around. Not recommended for overnight parking."
The Lodge at Tiburon

Marin Suites Hotel

"Spacious rooms, beautiful inner garden and nice pool. Great value."
Cavallo Point
10/10 Excellent
"Beautiful property on an old military base near the Golden Gate Bridge. It’s simple and a bit rustic (so don’t expect high end luxury in the rooms) but the restaurant is very good, the views are beautiful, the staff is helpful, it’s in the middle of eucalyptus trees. You need a car to get there. They have complimentary yoga classes. Not great for accessibility as there are hills and stairs. Very relaxing base from which to explore the Bay Area"
Lombard Plaza Motel

"Great place to stay in SF on a budget and with a car."
