"Lovely quiet area to stay. We speak very little Spanish, they were so willing and patient with communication. The porch area was lovely. We enjoyed rocking and having an evening drink. There is a small store about a mile away. We went to bed early and were so surprised that 4 other couples were there for breakfast. Breakfast was a “typical” and very good. "

"The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast in the morning was fabulous. My partner and I really loved the tub. The shower was very nice, good water pressure and never ran out of hot water filling the giant tub and taking hot showers. It was a very unique property which was beautiful to walk around and interact with the dogs and other animals on the property. "

"Clean room, helpful staff. Room a biyt outdated but nice and spacious with everything you need. Pool was excellent as were the grounds. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. Nothing fancy but very tasty and well cooked, good value for money. 25 mins from airport (12km), easy drive just a little traffic to consider"

"We didn't have time for the breakfast, but the front desk staff was not at all helpful when we asked for a shuttle to the airport late in the evening so we could return our rental car. There was a giant cockroach in the bathroom, the vanity was falling apart, and there was mold/ dirt on the bathroom ceiling. "

"Cindy, the owner, was an excellent host. Very proactively engaged in our experience from the day we booked. The bungalows look into the forest and dining pavilion were new, modern, and well equipped. Cindy is also the chef, and serves and excellent breakfast and dinner. She also arranged activities for us, which was fabulous. The beds were comfortable and large, with an outside deck. The location is remote (which is the point of booking - for that tree canopy experience) and windy drive, so...

"The gentleman who was at the front desk walked out to the road. He asked for my be name and then took us to the gate and let us in. It's Costa Rica. We were WAY later than last call for check in. He took care of us. Nice little hotel. "

"We could not be happier with our stay at the tree houses! We stayed for 3 nights. The staff was incredible. Coffee delivered every morning to our balcony so we could watch and listen to the animals, a great breakfast prepared every morning, and a night hike that we really enjoyed. The staff was incredibly helpful in booking excursions which were so fun. We took a day trip with Juan Carlos and saw so many things in a day that would have taken us 3 days otherwise. We 100% recommend to stay here. "

"It was a great stay. Property has both shared rooms and private ones. I had a private one with private bathroom. It was simple but very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included and the owner offers transport for a minimum fee. Will definitely stay again. "

"This was a beautiful unit a short drive from San Jose. The host offered us food and breakfast and messaged to check in if we were comfortable. We saw so many birds in the morning and evening. The pictures on the website don’t do justice to the amazing property. "

"Clean rooms and friendly staff. La Fortuna is about a 30 min drive. The friendly (Giovanni and Louis) make the drive worth it. We were able to spot sloth from the facility (guess we were lucky). I would definitely recommend it if you are on a budget. "
