"This is definitely a 3 star resort. Nothing about it gives 5 star so please don’t expect it! The staff were sweet and helpful but I’ll tell you to stay here if you would like average over priced American food 😒, WiFi going out every day, an unclean out dated pool, and hard mango’s for a $10 🙄. My family and I spent our last two days at The Spring Resort & Spa at Arenal. It was definitely worth the Money. If you’re looking to enjoy yourself without going out every day this resort is not it....

"Wonderful simple cabins that are reminiscent of Costa Rica of the past, with very kind helpful hosts. If you’re looking for a quiet clean escape into the cloud forest, this is the place. We were so happy to see all the hummingbirds while we enjoyed the excellent coffee and fresh fruit juice in the morning. "We enjoyed Sangregado Lodge. Upon arrival, we were greeted and offered fresh coconut water, which was a nice touch. The highlight of this lodge is the spectacular view of the Arenal valley. The lodge had very few to no amenities but its location high up in the mountain made it feel more remote and less touristy than the resorts on the main La Fortuna road.
