"The staff at the hotel went above and beyond to make our stay a wonderful experience. The hotel was in a great location. We had breakfast at the restaurant which had a lovely atmosphere, great staff and delicious food."

"We have stayed here before and had a great experience. This time our first room had a smoke smell to it so I went back to the front desk and they immediately switched our room, no questions asked. I was very appreciative since we didn’t want our clothes to smell as we went out. The rooms are great! Clean, good amenities, and beautiful views! The location is walkable and close to a great little bakery. Parking is one of the cheaper in SF and is very secure, you have to key in and out of the gate."

"Great location. Room was clean, however, the carpets ( very much so), upholstered furniture cushions REALLY need cleaning. Bathrooms could be cleaned more than only once a day. Other guests were friendly. Very funky historical building, so interesting in that regard. The hallways were crowded with old furniture and very dusty and dirty. For safety and ease of mobility, those hallways should be open and clear. Windows in our room were difficult to open, and blinds were broken. Other than that,...

"A great location in Tiburon. Walking distance to Sam's which has an incredible view of the city. The room was clean and spacious with two queen beds. Staff is very friendly - check in was a breeze."

"Amazing Hotel really close to the embarcadero. This hotel is located in the financial district between the places to visit. Staff was great like always and there's lots of parking nearby. Room was clean and air conditioning was amazing."

"Pros: The complimentary breakfast was definitely the highlight of our stay. While it is free, it’s customary to leave a tip. The hotel has four elevators, so we rarely had to wait. The staff were friendly and helpful, and our room was clean. Housekeeping did a great job cleaning the room every day. Cons: We stayed for four nights. Unfortunately, the room was extremely small. We were told the hotel was sold out and were assigned a room right next to the elevator, so we constantly heard people...

"I stayed during the Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon and the location was perfect. Trek bike shop near by, food not far away and close to race start. The staff were great, rooms were big and bus stop out the front. It really was the best spot for this race. The bath was good post race as well. Overall highly recommend!"

"We loved our stay! Hotel was in a great spot on the edge of Chinatown. Very clean & safe area, easy to access major transit and some attractions close by. The hotel itself is worn but clean, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. For an older hotel, it was a lot quieter than I expected. A couple of nights there was some really weird loud banging on the 8th floor that lasted a couple of minutes, otherwise was really quiet. There was zero street noise, and just occasional hallway door...

"This is our second time at this property. The first time our room was great, no issues. This time, not so good. They did renovate their rooms ( floors, shower)but ours came with a dilapidated table. They could have put a bigger table and a bigger nightstand, the room had space for bigger table and nightstand. On our last night there were a couple of ants inside the bathroom. "Cool historic type hotel. The elevators are a trip! I like that they maintain the vintage historic look of this old property! Breakfast could be a little more elegant, but it is free, so there's that. Lobby ceiling is also a trip! Would stay here again."
