"I stayed in one of the ‘chalet’ type rooms overlooking the car park at the back of the hotel. The woman on reception, when checking in, wasn’t particularly friendly- no warm welcome! The room really needs updating/decorating. A half eaten pear was on the decking outside, the Roman blind in the room was half hanging off and the room was quite dark so I couldn’t even let in more light, some cob webs in the bathroom and no welcome/info folder in the room which you normally would have with details...

"Only 12 parking spaces. Had to park 3 roads away! Can’t check in until 4pm. By the time the queue to check in was clear it was 5pm. Nowhere to sit and have a drink as hosting a funeral. That can’t be helped but had to sit in my room. Went to ask for an evening meal at 6.50pm as was too worried to go out and not be able to re park and waitress tutted huffed sighed and rolled her eyes at us! Calling out “ there’s two more now” totally annoyed! Way over £200 room only. Absolute joke."

"All the hotel staff were friendly and welcoming and I really enjoyed the stay, Being able to use the spa facilities until 1pm on check out day was idea and its a very tranquil area. Only minor point is that the jacuzzi is not that warm to relax in - the jets blow cold water."

"The staff were lovely and really helpful. Breakfast was nice too. Our room and the corridors looked shabby. Our bed creaked with every move, tele was so small and far away from the bed, sockets were wonky and the room is a decent size but doesn’t have any decent tables or work space to put stuff on.
The biggest let down was the spa. We went for the weekend thinking we would have some treatment's but was told that a couple of months ago, the mangers stopped treatments and therapists were no...

"Never really write reviews but maybe that goes some way to show how impressed I was. Staff feel as though they care about the place and in a world where customer service in hospitality is struggling it was so refreshing. Will definitely be back next time I have to stay in the area. Food was excellent for the price point."
