3/5 - Okay
Sandown on an autumn evening is surprisingly closed down, however a superb meal at the Reef soon put things right.

Very happy with the room, the service and the food. Two things kept it to a 4 star… small towels and technical hiccups at check in which delayed us. We’re just about to book again!

The chalet was really nice with new and modern decorations. Sufficient of cookware and kitchen utensils. The location was perfect for the nearby beaches and local shops. The only downside was about the amount of toiletries. We had 4 people staying for 3 nights, but there were only 2 toilet rolls ...

Lovely place and in my opinion best place to go on the Isle of Wight. Lovely beach within walking distance and if you love the Wildlife, the Zoo is just round the corner. Very convenient for walks and cycling
Beautiful beach and friendly people but many shops and businesses closed and the town is very shabby and unkempt.
Sandown is great for walking. Bembridge, Down, the Culver trail, coastal path to Shanklin are all within easy reach. Always a pleasure to walk here.
Lovely beach. Lots of gift shops. Choice of small supermarkets.
I visited many towns on the island. I would recommend Ryde for shopping, bars and the beach. Sandown is nice and quiet in comparison.
