"Staying at hotel America was like staying in a Soviet era tower block in Moscow in the 1970s. My room was very cold and I had to request heating to be put on. Even with the extra (old and grubby) blanket I was cold all night. The room has probably not been updated since the building was constructed so the bright blue bathroom suite with missing plugs was like something from the 1970s. "I LOVED staying here. It felt like a hidden gem during all my traveling through Spain. The owners are super helpful and responsive. Great location to Montserrat and served me wonderfully as a nice nature escape after all the city hustle and bustle. I would stay here again and again."

"The owner, Jordi, and his staff went out of their way to help me. He gave me a ride from the train station to his nearby restaurant, where I had a fantastic dinner. Then he dropped me off at the hotel. The room was comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent. The front desk attendant was kind enough to drive me to the bus stop for my journey to Barcelona. On the morning of our trip, we left by car at 8:20 am and got to the railway station platform by 8:28 for an 8:30 departure— yes literally 8 minutes which even included time to park and purchase tickets for the cogwheel train up to the monastery. We needed to get there by 8:45-8:50 (ride was 15-20 minutes) to make it to our timed entry to the Black Madonna at 9:00 to avoid heavy crowds and have a more solemn experience. Our unit was...

"The most unique stay near barcelona. If you need somewhere quiet and away from the city its perfect. The entire property is impeccable. The owners and staff are very attentive to your needs, they speak multiple languages as well. They offer breakfast and dinner so you don’t have to worry about food/where to eat. The food options are amazing everything we ate was so delicious, literally mouth watering. There is a spa you can book ahead of time. I can’t wait to come back it was the most beautiful...
