We like walking and it is a 30 minute walk down the hill to pitti palace. If you don’t want to walk back up there is a bus. Also a 2 minute walk out the front of the hotel to the left is a great little pub in a field where they grow their own veggies and the meat for the burgers is from local farms. A must visit...

"A beautiful property. Clean and comfortable room. Excellent breakfast. Great value for money and would recommend. It was a shame the bar wasn’t open earlier and it would have been nice to have a coffee during the day, maybe reception staff could have done this? A little far out from the centre but of you are happy to walk 40 mins or so not a problem. Bus was also available but couldn’t work out how to pay for that without paying double on the bus!"

"We had a wonderful stay at Hotel La Fortezza. The rooms were clean, modern, and spacious for 2 - 3 people. The beds and linens were luxurious. The breakfast was good and plentiful. We walked to most of the sites we wanted to see or took a short taxi ride when we were too tired at night. I highly recommend the hotel."
