Small family run hotel with heart felt customer service and amazing breakfast (fresh, homemade and hearty). Daily room cleaning was thorough. Quick walk to beach and restaurants. A perfect stay for families. Would stay again.

Fantastic staff, service and breakfast. Dimitris could not do enough for us and even invited our friends to use the pool and sun beds, who were staying at a nearby hotel. He laid on an amazing BBQ with a massive selection of meats, salads and potatoes. I could not have picked a lovelier place to stay the week before my wedding. 10 out of 10!!

Wir waren eine Woche lang da und es war hervorragend! Dimitri und seine Familie sind sehr liebe Menschen, man fühlt sich da wie zuhause! Ausserdem ist Dimitri super hilfreich wenn es um Aktivitäten rund um Santorini geht. Er hat uns eine wundervolle Bootsfahrt organisiert in der wir um die Insel gefahren sind und den schönen Sonnenuntergang genossen haben! Das Hotel ist auf jedenfall eine Herzens Empfehlung und wir werden in Zukunft sehr gerne wieder zurückkommen!

I loved it, everything was perfect it’s a small well built and cozy place, we love their breakfast and specially their coffee, it’s only a couple of minutes from the beach and a lots of restaurants.

We loved our stay at Amara Suites! Demetrius and the rest of the staff went above and beyond for us and were so incredibly hospitable. The breakfasts were amazing, with so much food and delicious orange juice and yogurt. The pool and private pool in the room were also great, and our room was very spacious and comfortable. We wish we could have spent more time dining there for lunch and dinner, or taking excursions that they offered to arrange, but we had a packed schedule with the wedding we were attending. Highly recommend Amara to elevate your trip to Santorini!

Beautiful stay, but with a stressful ending

Lovely stay at Amara suites in Kamari! Small family hotel with nice breakfast, clean facilities and great staff. Service level was in general very high, but you can also feel that the owner is running a business. Preferred us to use the taxi of the hotel to get a lower price, but the price was the same as the public taxi to the airport (payed 30 Euro each way). Furthermore, we were a bit stressed about the taxi to the airport. First, we were told that 3:30PM was fine. During the day, we were asked to go there earlier (2:50PM), because the airport was busy. But we agreed to go 15:15PM, so we did not have to wait 3 hours in the airport. We came back to the hotel 2:45 PM after eating lunch to take a shower, but was asked by the owner if we could be ready 10-15 minutes earlier since the taxi driver had other businesses to do.. That was a bit stressful, and not a good way to end our vacation.

We had such a lovely time at this hotel, Dimitris was very warm and welcoming – they all really made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The room was beautiful, super clean, and really comfortable. The hotel is in a peaceful spot, just a few minutes walk to the beach, as well as plenty of great restaurants and bars nearby. One of the highlights was definitely the breakfast each morning by the pool made by Dimitris’s wife, which was absolutely delicious – and different every day. They really go out of their way to make sure you’re comfortable and enjoying your stay. We felt so relaxed and well looked after – would definitely recommend!

I have NEVER stayed at a property that offered as many amenities with customer service way beyond I could ever imagine! Dimitri and ALL his staff could not have done more to make us feel special and welcomed. The delicious daily breakfast with unlimited options, all made fresh daily on property, the way they set our room up and cleaned it for us paying attention to the tiniest details, the cleanliness, the inviting atmosphere, I could go on and on and still leave something out! This will definitely be my hotel in Santorini from years to come. Thanks again Dimitri, Yassou!

Dimitris and Eleni are so very welcoming and run a lovely place. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. Lovely swimming pool and private jacuzzi. The breakfast is outstanding - freshly cooked for you when you are ready. It's so filling that we didn't need lunch on any of the days we were there. The cleanliness here is outstanding. I can't remember staying at a hotel that is kept to such a high level of cleanliness. Note that the beach nearby isn't the best swimming or sunbathing beach (pebbles rather than sand), so bear that in mind if you want a sandy beach. Relaxing at the hotel is by the pool is the best option. There are plentiful bars and restaurants near to the hotel, as well as food to order at the hotel itself. A very relaxing place to stay.

Superb family run hotel with excellent pool area, breakfast and rooms. Set back 5 minutes from the beach and beachfront restaurants but very private and extremely comfortable. The host Dimitris will arrange transfers to and from the airport in addition to tours around the island and catamaran sunset trips. Overall it was a fantastic stay.

Outstanding hospitality in a stylish setting

From the moment we walked in , we were treated like family by Dimitris , the owner and his family. What can i say ! The place is fantastic. The rooms are modern and comfortable and have everything you need including a huge fridge . Ours had a private hot tub 👍. The pool is just the right temperature and has plenty of comfortable beds . There is an open bar by the pool which serves all day into the evening. Great cocktails and food . The food here is as good as any of the restaurants we ate in and all cooked fresh by the family . Breakfast is just outstanding . Best we have had in a hotel for sure . We looked at a lot of hotels in this area and was really looking for something closer to the beach . So glad we chose this !!! its just 200 m from the beach front and 50m from a decent supermarket. Sofo and Vasil are great guys and provide an excellent car service from the hotel and are a competitively priced for trips to Oia ( definitely get a car , buses home late are a nightmare ) , Thira and Airport runs . If you want a hotel that has a touch of class and style with excellent food and facilities choose this !!!! Dimitris built , owns and runs this little gem with his family . You become family the moment you walk through the door . Thank you

Very welcoming and friendly family orientated staff. Served amazing and different breakfasts, good drinks at the bar and even the massages were amazing! Hot tub was a bonus as well! The local shop was so close as well and the beach was just a 3-4min walk away

Hotel was amazing from start to finish Dimitri and his family were extremely welcoming and nothing was too much hassle The food was the best in Kamari Will be back as sad to leave

My husband and I have just returned from this amazing family run hotel. From the moment we walked in we felt at home. Dimitri and his family were the most wonderful hosts, and although we have always said we would not return to the same place twice, we are already planning our next visit! The hotel is absolutely spotless, the food is amazing, and the staff are wonderful! It is within walking distance to the beach, restaurants, and shops, and if you need any help to explore the rest of the island, Dimitri will always be on hand. I honestly cannot rate this hotel highly enough, we arrived as guests but felt we left as family! Thank you to all the wonderful staff, you made our holiday everything we hoped it would be and more! X

Séjour de rêve dans un merveilleux hôtel !

Séjour à la mi-mai 2024 dans l'hôtel Amara Suites. Nous avons été merveilleusement accueilli par Dimitris qui nous a présenté l'hôtel ainsi que notre chambre, immédiatement nous nous sommes sentis comme à la maison. Très bel hôtel aménagé avec beaucoup de goût, avec une grande piscine en son centre ainsi qu'un bar. Notre chambre était juste magnifique et très bien équipée, avec en plus un jacuzzi sur notre terrasse privative. Chaque soir, après notre journée de visite nous profitions de nous relaxer au bar ou dans notre jacuzzi. Nous devons relever, que rarement nous avons pu profiter d'un cadre aussi propre et charmant! Nous avons aussi beaucoup apprécié la qualité de la cuisine concoctée par notre hôtesse. Depuis le petit-déjeuner varié et copieux jusqu'au repas pris en cours de journée. Nous avons ainsi pu profiter de goûter à plusieurs plats régionaux préparés avec beaucoup d'amour (du tzatziki, gyros, daurade et homard). Nous tenons à remercier tout le personnel de l'hôtel pour la qualité de son travail ainsi que pour sa gentillesse et sa disponibilité. Encore merci Dimitris pour l'organisation de nos visites. Nous recommandons vivement cet endroit enchanteur à toutes celles et tous ceux qui cherchent à passer des vacances inoubliables.

Lovely Beautiful Hotel

The hotel is very beautiful. The owner Demitri and staff are very accomodating. The food is delicious and the property is kept so immaculate. 5 minute walk to the beach and promanade. I highly recommend Amara Suites you won't be disappointed. D Trott

Stayed at the Amara Suites for three nights from 18 October. The hotel is beautiful and immaculately presented. My wife and I had a wonderful stay, the owners were fantastic, very friendly and always helpful. The breakfast at Amara Suites could be the best I have ever had. We would definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay here. The hotel is owned by the nicest family that goes out of their way to make each guest feel so welcome. Be sure to eat on property as the food is delicious!
