Fantastic Stay

Just had a wonderful stay at the Barrington Guest House. The room was very clean and tidy, bed comfy. The Guest house is in a great location, just 1 street back from the sea front. The host was great and very helpful. We would definitely stay again.

The Barrington

Our stay was lovely. Bed very comfortable Shower was amazing But the draws hadn't been checked and there was someone's clothes left in there.

Fabulous stay at the Barrington. Room was very clean and warm, bed was really comfy. Steve was a wonderful host and gave us a lovely warm welcome. Breakfast very nice too, we will no doubt be back!

On arrival we met Steve our host ,very friendly and everything explained regarding our stay ,lovely guest house clean and nothing too much trouble,full English breakfast was delicious,near all the shops and sea front Both hosts friendly and other guests too Will definitely be back

Break away with my hubby

Claire and Steve are very welcoming and friendly. The guest house is spotless, comfy bed and pillows 👍and a good breakfast cooked by Steve👍great little pub at bottom of road too. Would definitely go back to Barrington guest house.

The shower did not work and we stayed for 2 nights and the internet did not work. The rooms are pricey considering we could not wash or use the internet. We were also stuck in a room where we could hear boiler dripping throughout the night.

Good for smokers

Booked 3 nights, managed one night because we had travelled a long way with the kids and couldnt find anywhere else at short notice. Left first thing because of the smell of smoke in the room, genuinely unbearable, paint peeling from the ceiling over the kids bed. Really should've taken pictures. Hostess seemed ok on arrival, admitted herself the room stunk of smoke. Thought they may offer some kind of refund for rhe remaining few days but got told there was no chance, so we just took the hit and found somewhere else, glad we did. Location is good though if you want access to them seafront.

The hosts are very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. The rooms appear to have been recently renovated and are very clean and modern. The B&B is only a couple of minutes walk from the beach and harbour and a few minutes more to the shopping centre. Breakfast was very tasty. We will return in the future.

Nice clean, well looked after guest house with good sized bedroom & shower with decent storage. Hearty breakfast with friendly owners. Conveniently located for Scarborough sea front & town centre. The immediate area around the premises was beginning to look a bit run down (did not apply to the premises), and limited parking, but overall good value for the money.

The room was modern, comfortable and clean - Attention to detail was apparent. Friendly hosts and a hearty breakfast included in my price. Would certainly stay again when visiting Scarborough. The Guest house is situated on a pathway above a row of shops so don’t rely on Satnav for the last part of the journey. Parking requires a permit issued by proprietor on arrival.

Stay here its excellent!!

This is a listed Georgian town house in spitting distance from the sea. It is a boutique style with high quality fixtures and fittings. I recommend this Guest house without reservation unless steep narrow stairs may cause you problems. The bed and shower were excellent as was the full English. Steve the proprietor was friendly and up for a chat. Overall 5*.
