"We stayed at the chalet across the street from the reception for 2 nights. Worst experience ever. Room is very hot, dark (incandescent bulb lighting which adds to the heat), bathroom smells like cigarettes, floors creak, and you can hear everyone who comes in and out of the place. Pictures of the lodge are very deceiving and combined with the newer, more expensive hotel where the reception is. "Its my 3rd time stay at Ibis Luzern. And always happy to come back this hotel. The location only 5 minutes using a bus from central luzern station (walking around 15 minutes). The room is good and the price so reasonable. They provide a microwave, hot water (coffee and tea) in lobby area. They give a Luzern pass too, so you can enjoy around luzern with free pass. "

"Stayed 1 night in May 2026. Location was ok - we took bus from train station to Casino-Palace stop and then walked the remainder. Hotel is located up hill and could be difficult to access by foot with heavy luggage. Room was a good size and had beautiful panoramic views of the lake and city. No air conditioning, but with windows open and using provided fan, we were comfortable. Would have preferred to receive Lucerne visitor pass prior to check in so we could have used it for the bus ride...
