The only complaint was the restaurant was closed and that was the reason we chose it. But it was centrally located to many good restaurants so it made up for that. "The hotel is a bit older, so there are some things to be aware of. The pool is not heated so it's very cold so you probably won't be doing a lot of swimming. The water tanks aren't very big so for those people who like to take long showers this is not the hotel for you. But on the plus side the location is absolutely perfect it's very close to Frenchman Street and the French market and getting around is very easy because the streetcar stops right there at the end of the line and you're right...

"This is a magnificent place to stay in New Orleans. I stayed here one for a wedding and since then I don’t look anywhere else for a room if the Frenchmen is available. There’s not much to the place except nice old rooms at a great location. The rooms can feel a bit bare and some fixtures are old but that’s part of the charm for us. Excellent pool and hot tub. Highly recommend. "
