"All the staff, especially those in the bar/restaurant area were excellent. They were very accommodating, warm and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Food was very good and reasonably priced. Room was lovely, although you do need some level of navigational expertise to find your room and your way around the hotel!"

"Excellant stay, some work taking place on the outdoor spa area, although did not affect the stay. Relaxing stay on Lake Windermere with lovely views from room and bar area balcony. A very well presented hotel with modern rooms and facilities. Situated a few miles south of Windermere centre."

Keswick Country House Hotel

"The Keswick Country House Hotel is a gem, quietly tucked away with a short walk from the town centre, lovely walks, and beautiful grounds. The hotel was once connected by a railway, which is now part of the C2C bicycle trail, and lovely level walk, through breath taking scenery. The breakfast is great with a great choice of food, well cooked and presented, including Gluten Free options. We had no issues. Maybe a bit more thought about layout, to help avoid cross contamination (eg separation of cereals from non gluten items) and maybe the sausages could be GF? I have found GF sausages are very good, as 100% meat. just a thought. Although I am not a Coeliac myself, my daughter is. I was impressed with some of the the attention to detail, but a bit more choice and slight adjustment with ingredients, positioning and location of certain foods, would be a wow factor, for anyone struggling with an allergy. thank you. The rooms were well equipped, tidy and cleaned regularly. This is an interesting hotel with unique railway heritage. Highly recommended 9/10. The staff were exceptional, very friendly and helpful, I will look forward to our next visit and definitely enjoy this hotel again. Thank you"

"We had a 5 night stay in June and on arrival we were awarded a room upgrade. The suite 'Woodlands' was excellent and although across the yard, was no problem at all. Breakfasts were excellent with a great choice, including many fruits. Individual cooked items were well presented and tasty. We took 2 evening meals at the hotel and again the choice of meals on the menu and the quality was superb. Staff were very helpful, professional and courteous. The facilities including the lounge, bar, swimming pool, sauna, steam room and indoor and outdoor jacuzzis were all excellent All in all a superb stay and a place thoroughly recommended and one worth coming back to."

"We had a wonderful stay at Lakes Hotel & Spa. The location is perfect, with stunning views that made our trip feel extra special. Our accommodation was comfortable, modern, and had everything we needed for a relaxing break. A special mention must go to the concierge team, who were absolutely amazing throughout our stay. They were friendly, helpful and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. One of the highlights for my husband was the Bentley chauffeur service into town – a fantastic touch that really added to the luxury experience and made our stay even more memorable. The hotel has a lovely atmosphere, beautiful surroundings and excellent facilities. We would highly recommend Lakes Hotel & Spa and would love to return in the future."
