I recently stayed at Coast Seattle Downtown Hotel by APA for four nights, and unfortunately, it was a very unpleasant experience.
On the first night, we could not sleep because the heater would not turn off. The temperature control did not work at all. We called the front desk, and an engineer came, but he said he could not fix it and suggested that if it was too hot, we should open the window. That was not an acceptable solution. After complaining again, we were finally moved to another room.
In the second room, the AC control worked, but the unit was extremely loud. In addition, the refrigerator made constant, loud noise. Altogether, it was very difficult to rest. This is not what you expect from a 4-star hotel.
To make matters worse, while changing rooms, one of my sweater shirts went missing. I reported it immediately to the front desk. They said housekeeping did not see it. I also spoke to the manager, but he said he could not help. I lost a personal item worth about $50, and there was no resolution.
Overall, this stay was very disappointing. It would have been better to stay at a simple motel than here.
