"We stayed at The Hill in late April 2026. It's a great central location to go to Gullfoss, Geysir, several hikes (some that are only accessible in the summer), the only mushroom farm in Iceland and has a cafe, a dairy farm with cafe, and the Secret Lagoon. There's also a great restaurant ten minutes away that specialized in chocolate and langostines. Our room was quite large, which we appreciated. However, we could hear everything other guest were doing - walking or running down the hall, moving...

"Very cozy cabin with scenic view. Has everything needed for a comfortable stay. We slept very well on the comfortable bed. The horses in the pasture were amazing. If any questions or anything is needed, host is very responsive and helps quickly. Thank you for the stay!"

"Really enjoyed our stop at The Hill - staff upgraded us to the main building (didn't realize i booked us into the cottages by mistake) and was very pleasant. Room was fine - a little small with an odd door out the bathroom to the patio - but was cute and cozy. Restaurant staff was nice and the girl at the front was really friendly and welcoming. "

"Great location on the far side of Thingvellir National Park close to the new Laugarás Lagoon. Freya Farm is truly a family owned farm by a wonderful young family. They were so kind and the property is absolutely stunning. The owner took us for a short hike around their backyard to an amazing river. This is truly a hidden jem."

"Loved the location right near the Geysir. Great access to food and local sites. Hotel was high-end, immaculate, breakfast included a really nice spread. Loved this hotel!"

"This place is magical! The lodge has everything you could need. The hot tub and sauna are amazing! The heated floors throughout felt amazing! Loved all the little touches. It was super clean and the beds were very comfortable! The shower was super hot. The space is well done. The best part is the views! Sleeping under the stars and seeing some northern nights was a dream!!! Waking up to a gorgeous sunrise was another wonderful bonus. Just looking at the views of the snow covered mountains...

"Unfortunately there was no host, we had to check in next door. The place was very clean but the hospitality area was never open again we had to go to the hotel next door for information. Had I known this I would not have booked this place even with the great location."
