"Wish the bathroom had a ventilation fan so it wouldn't be so muggy throughout the room. Also add black out curtains that we can actually close so the lights from the streets aren't shining through. Other than that, the staff and area were great."

"The actual condition of this hotel didn't match the reviews on Expedia. Everything is a bit shabby and the level of cleaning is not great. Our room seemed OK at first, but a closer look showed lots of little issues. My wife found a hairball on the carpet which overall appeared to need a shampoo. Nothing else was horrible, but little things just weren't right. One of the faucet handles was crooked. The baseboards needed repainting and the finish on the cabinet holding the towels was starting to crack. The rest of the hotel was similar: The breakfast fruit was starting to spoil. One of the entrances to the inner courtyard (where the pool is) was filthy. At least the pool was nice and clean. The price of the hotel was reasonable, but the level of upkeep is lacking. At minimum, it needs a thorough clean and maintenance. In reality, it could use a remodel."

"My boyfriend and I stayed at HomeTowne Studios & Suites by Red Roof Greensboro from June 6–8, 2026, and unfortunately this was a disappointing experience. The only positive aspect was the convenient location. Otherwise, the room did not meet basic cleanliness expectations. Upon arrival, we found leftover food in both the oven and refrigerator, along with what appeared to be old blood stains on the sheets and pillowcase. Because we arrived exhausted, I covered the stained areas with a towel and addressed the issue the next morning. We requested fresh bedding and wanted documentation since the motel’s policy states guests may lose their $100 deposit for soiled bedding. We were told fresh sheets would be brought, but after following up ourselves, we were informed housekeeping found nothing wrong and our request was denied. Later, the front desk employee quietly helped us receive fresh towels despite saying he was not supposed to. The issues continued after checkout. We were told the $100 security deposit would be refunded within approximately two hours, but only $35 was returned and the remaining balance had still not been received days later. My boyfriend and I always make an effort to leave rooms in better condition than we find them, which made this experience even more frustrating. Overall, the cleanliness, communication, and deposit handling were disappointing. We will not be returning."

"Ran out of regular coffee every morning of our stay during breakfast hours, 3 days. Very slow to make and bring out fresh pot twice. Ran out of yogurt on day 2, did not have any for last 2 mornings. Drain in bathroom sink was clogged and smelled bad. After maintenance worked on it, drain was still slow to empty."
