I produced our receipt for payment and was told I would have to wait until after 4pm when the manager came on duty. We were also informed they no longer do breakfast although it was included in our booking. I was told the price for the room had been reduced to reflect this and that I would need to claim the difference from Hotels.com. The room was ok and the location was fine for our visit to a concert at the abbey. "

"Room was clean, but hardly any storage or hanging space. Good shower with plenty of hot water. Room very nojsy at night with passing traffic. Buffet style breakfast, but no hot food. Not enough bowls for cereal, or cups for brews. Okay for a weekend away, but any longer you'll be struggling to keep your clothes tidy."

"A gorgeous little place with even lovelier owners. Nothing was too much trouble. Our dog loved it. Beds were lovely and comfy. Everything well equipped. In a great location - easy to find and easy access to York centre. Will definitely return when we visit York again."
