My wife and I loved staying at Skálatjörn for our first 3 nights in Iceland! Helena is an excellent host, and we loved how quiet the property was. Plus, they have goats, a cat, and a dog!
Our stay with Helena and Stefan was wonderful. It was great to learn about the Icelandic goats and the farm is so pretty. Rooms are clean and very convenient to have kitchen amenities.
We had such a pleasant stay. The property is on a gorgeous piece of land. It was very quiet and peaceful. The room was clean and spacious. Our bathroom was huge! It was nice to have the kitchen efficiency, as we made some breakfast in the morning before we left on our travels. I would stay here again.
Lovely remote farm outside of Selfoss. Close to Golden Circle. We caught the Northern lights. Helena was friendly and welcoming. We missed her 6pm goat tour but hope to come back again.
This beautiful property has a goat farm! The goats are very friendly and we even got a tour of their facilities. The apartment was clean with a nice fridge, stove, very comfortable bed. It was calm and peaceful and convenient to the Golden Circle. And it was very economical!
The room was very clean and comfortable with a well-equipped kitchenette. It's in a perfect location for viewing the Northern Lights when the sky is clear, if you're able to stay up late enough. Helena was very attentive and responsive and even gave us a tour of the farm, introducing us to her very friendly, adorable goats and of course the barn cat that looks after them :-)
We got a room on the second floor so we had to carry our luggage by using the stair. The room was spacious for 4 persons with well-equipped kitchenwares. The host was kind and she offered us to join the goat tour of her farm for free but we couldn’t make it because we arrived there later than the tour started. It’s easy to find the place on google map.
Quiet and beautiful spot to stop for a night or two. Close enough to Selfoss and Kenio Crater as well the waterfalls. Love to goats and hosts were so friendly.
Wonderful little apartment missed the goat tour which we wanted to see but loved seeing them run out in the morning. Sweet host that came over and showed us everything when we arrived. Would recommend.
The accommodations were very clean and kitchen was very well stocked. Helena was very kind showing our group to our room. Definitely a unique experience and best place we stayed at during trip to Iceland, would come back here again in the future.
The setting is wonderfully Rural. The farm is well cared for and the facilities are very nice! The location was great for seeing the south coast. The owner is fantastic and very accommodating. Would definitely stay there again!
Host was nice and friendly especially the goats tour. Guesthouse was very neat clean. Just little messy when taking shower. We also enjoyed the beautiful sunset from our unit. Great stay at Iceland.
We enjoyed staying in a studio apartment. It was well stocked with kitchen supplies for simple meals. We didnt get to see any animals but we did arrive later in the v evening and left in the early AM. Great place to stay.
