"Good little place to stay if you have an early flight or a late arrival. Basic room but had everything we needed. To be honest the amenities where the same as the hotel we paid £500 a night for it just didn’t have the view. Very helpful host who showed us around. Great little grocery store just a few metres walk and the sea is just a few steps further. The bonus - this property has a great kitchen attached for guests use with a washing machine!!! "

"Just had a 3-night stay at ION City. Staffs were all friendly and amazing. Location is in the core downtown tourism area of reykjavic so that could be pro or cons depending on what you like. It's a little bit loud outside especially if the room is towards the street, but window is reasonably sound-proof. One issue was that when I first arrived there were a few blood drops in the bath towels, but after I raised that issue the room service was all good for the rest of the stay. Overall 4/5. "

"Fantastic location and adorable structure. Breakfast was good. Only heads up is there is only a taxi stand to drop off luggage, but hotel is walkable from the downtown rental car drop off. Overall - recommend. "

"A very nice, new hotel that is part of/above a bar/restaurant. I just want to point out that there was no noise from the bar that I could hear (I was on the 4th floor). Aside from jarring elevator rides, I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It was almost new, I had a balcony and it was close to almost anything I wanted to do. For those who want to do puffin or whale tours, it's extremely close to the harbour. I usually stay in 2 or 3 star hotels when I travel and I have to say this is one of...
