"The staff is very friendly. Bathrooms and shower room were shared but there is an easy system to make sure no one is in each others way. Room was very spacious, great amenities, gave good recommendations for dinner and things to do. Free coffee and tea in the morning. Would stay again (plus the cat visited each night and was adorable). "

"Great guesthouse with helpful staff. Small Onsen was great but water very hot. Cold water and hot water and tea and coffee provided. Close to a bus stop. Lovely spot to stay. Can walk to Hakone Open Air Museum-16 minutes on a track.I had the double room - used the 2 futons so it was very comfortable on the tatami mat."

"This place is fantastic! The staff is super friendly, the food and drink on site is very good quality and extremely reasonably priced. Best of all, Onsen is so relaxing and wonderful. My family (including girls 10 and 12) loved our stay here. I’m not sure why this is called a hostel, that does a complete disservice to how incredible this place is. It’s more of a resort, but without the flashiness and price gouging. For instance, a beer here was actually cheaper than at the brewery itself and...
