"What an awesome experience! This place is nestled away in a serene and peaceful setting in the mountains, with a river flowing below and the breeze rustling the trees. Not only are the staff incredibly kind and accommodating, they provide small touches that make their guests feel welcome, like inviting us to sit for tea upon arrival, the 24/7 complementary coffee/tea and the cozy pajamas. "This wonderful hostel was a delightful surprise and the onsen really was an added bonus with its outer pool! With a bit of planning, you can take a local bus or use your Hakone Free Pass to be dropped off within a block of the hostel from the train station. Great staff, great accommodations and fully enjoyed my stay!"
