"Our experience at Omstead’s on Erie was amazing, my friend, daughter and I are still talking about it. First off, the home was so well decorated, every carefully selected item has a story and the stories were amazing, all this with a great view of Lake Erie. Margo and Keith are great hosts, they provided us with many great local recommendations for dinner and Margo treated us to locally sourced fancy breakfasts. We will definitely be going back!"

"A cozy house just south of downtown (just north of the ferry dock). We had the guest suite (downstairs), which had a minor disadvantage of pipes running across the ceiling, but otherwise, it was well soundproofed and got good light from outside. Breakfast was provided each morning and was a mix of berries, fruits, yoghurts, and scrambled eggs. The hosts (and their three dogs) ere wonderful people, very friendly, with a lot of hospitality experience. Would stay again!"

"Das Hotel liegt sehr schön am Eriesee, unbedingt ein Zimmer mit Seeblick nehmen. Mein Zimmer war sehr groß, es gab einen Kühlschrank, Mikrowelle und Kaffeemaschine. Zusätzlich gab es auf der Etage Wasserspender und eine Kaffe und Teestation, an der man sich jederzeit bedienen konnte. Großer Gratisparkplatz. Alles in allem ein sehr schönes Hotel."

The useful-looking bedside lamp with multiple ports/outlets in the base looked useful, except nothing (not even the lamp bulb) worked, even though it was plugged in. The two pot lights over the desk also looked like a thoughful touch, except I could not find a switch for them (or else they, too, don't work). Having said that, everything was very clean, the fridge worked, the bed was quite comfortable and all the washroom plumbing worked perfectly. The...

"Gorgeous house with 19th century charm! Cozy rooms, comfy beds, and bright common areas. Host was super friendly and kept property clean and well maintained. I’ve stayed here twice and I know I will stay here again."

"We didnt even stay in the room, my girlfriend was so upset about how cold it was in the rooms( the windows had been left open). There was dirt on the floors in the room and the bathroom. She also couldnt get any warm water out of the taps."

Staff at hotel very friendly, knowledgeable about recommendations. Loved the casual vibe of the hotel, including the decor. Lovely to have tea and coffee available all day. Nespresso machines in each room is a plus. Room was very clean, as was the bathroom. Large room, space for 2 armchairs in front of the TV in our room. Parking is public parking...
