"Very helpful staff. Clean room, corridors and foyer area. Room was really spacious, comfy bed, good layout. Only negative would be parking, very limited, struggled to park one night, was told only 60 spaces, which are chargeable, for over 500 guests. No suggestion of anywhere else to park, so had to sit waiting for someone to leave."

"I absolutely loved this property. The staff were great and bar and restaurant fabulous. Now if you want a Hilton or Travellodge this isn't for you. This is Quirky and Wonky and has stairs, no lifts. The rooms are rustic but perfectly functioning. There are cracks and wonky flooring. But its fun...well i liked it. The Bedding is clean. The bathroom was clean The TV worked, there was WIFI. Tea and coffe...great. There was no lamp in my room or Hairdryer. We asked but they didnt have. This is a very very old building but has good bones and a lovely atmosphere. Ample parking to rear of property. Beautiful outdoor area. Very quiet at night, but you may hear bar or restaurant depending on where your room is. Unfortunately i had a neighbour who was in and out and let the doors slam!! But thats no fault of the hotel. Definitely going back....just love it and the village its in"

"Lovely 3 night stay. Staff all very polite and helpful. Room was clean bathroom is rather small but was ok for a short break. Breakfast was great so many choices and not always the same every morning. Thank you :)"

"The Barrington looks a bit tired but the room was excellent clean and spacious.Breakfast offered a good range and ticked all the boxes Staff were amiable and helpful. Decent parking options available and public transport right outside the door. Not the Ritz but fully met our expectations."

"The consistency of room service standard was not there. One day my room was cleaned well, i had 4 bottles of water i had 4 biscuits for each of us staying in the room. The next day i had no bottles of water, no biscuits, the two extra beds were not made. I was very disappointed upon entering our room after a long day out. "

"Excellent hotel with very good rooms, quiet location on the edge of a large park. Plenty of parking and off beaten track so secure in that respect. Nice restaurant with varied menu choices; breakfast excellent. Staff welcoming and very helpful. I would definitely use this again in preference to others closer to or in the town but really need car to access."
