If you're lucky enough to be near Mount Cook on a sunny day, taking a scenic flight around New Zealand's highest mountains is one of my most exhilarating vacation experiences ever. The flights circle the mountain and my pro tip is to choose a seat where your views will be on the opposite side as Mount Cook. The room was clean but very small. However, it was located at about 1 km from the international airport, an easy walk of 15 minutes to the airport and this is the main reason why we booked that hotel.

The apartment was clean with a nice view, BUT, you have to climb up stairs to reach it and there are NO lifts which makes it VERY difficult when you have to lug a large heavy suitcase with you. The extractor in the bathroom was not working. Toilet smells did not go away.
