"We loved our time at Tuk Tuk Timbal Bungalows. We stayed in one of their traditional rooms, which we really enjoyed. Great menu available for all meals. Staff was super accommodating with transportation to and from Samosir. The passenger ferry will pick-up/drop-off directly at the property, so contact TukTuk ahead of time to make arrangements!"

"This is a lovely homestay in Berastagi, about a 20 min walk along the main road to reach the town centre with the 'cabbage monument'. Nachelle makes incredible homemade pizzas from scratch - a must (if you like pizza)! There's also a water cooler for you to use and fill up your bottle. It's a bit of a hike if you're staying on the top floor, but they help you with your luggage. "The hotel is a short walk from the town square ( or circle) so easy acces from the bus, close to markets, coffee shops and restaurants. It was clean, the shower hot and the bed comfy. But the hosts were great. Very friendly, helpful with advice, even offered a ride to the base of the volcano."
