"This is a beautiful hotel in a wonderful setting. The hotel has recently been refurbished to a very high standard. There is ample seating outside which is great on a summers day,The grounds are kept beautifully. The hotel is an old building, unfortunately no air conditioning in the bedrooms due to the age of the hotel, but fans were provided, as we visited on the hottest day of the year. "Location and food options"

"I've stayed at the hotel many times in the past before it became a Warner hotel. Although the facilities are still excellent I was a bit disappointed in the quality of the food in the Market Street restaurant (both evening meal and breakfast). Perhaps it was just that the previous standard as a business hotel was higher than current. We also could not get air-conditioning working in our room ((2021) this appeared to of been a problem for a number of the visitors."

"Bed was comfortable and breakfast very nice. Negatives - no air con on a very hot day/night and shower problematic. Couldn’t avoid getting hair wet, shower head too high to adjust and no soap in dispenser. Otherwise all good."
