The staff were very friendly and welcoming. No issues with the room, clean and comfortable. What spoil the stay was the abysmal breakfast! The food was cold with a limited western range, I have stayed at the Village Hotel Katong several times and this was not an issue; sadly standards have changed.

Really enjoyed my stay and use of the facilities here at the hotel. Stayed here back in 2023 and it was a really good experience back then, so decided to return. 2025 and still great standards at the hotel so overall I’m pleased and would stay again if visiting Singapore in the future.

Hotel was well located in an area full of attractive dining options and an active social scene. The concierge staff was courteous and welcoming. Check in was quick and efficient. The room was spacious, well lit and the bed was very comfortable. My only complaint was the water in the shower was barely luke warm, making for a quick and uncomfortable bath in the morning. Maybe Singapore being a tropical place, locals probably prefer cold to luke warm showers but in air conditioned room, it might be a bit outside the comfort zone for most. Overall, the hotel is a great value for the price and I would definitely consider staying there in the future.

Location: Right in Katong, close to East Coast Park, MRT lines, bus stops, Parkway Parade, hawker centers, supermarkets, and local eateries. Room is spacious, clean, and has large bathroom with rain showers.
