"We booked specifically for an overnight stay so we would be relatively close to attend a wonderful concert at Kilmelford Village Hall ,approx a 10 minutes drive away . We've had a very busy schedule recently and the hotel and tranquil peaceful surrounds and lovely views across the bay , was just what we needed. We were lucky the sun shone and we were able to spend a blissful hour or two after checking in ,sitting out on the patio with a nice cup of tea and cake. We weren't able to dine...

"This is a beautiful property and well worth a visit. Despite my train arriving after check-in, it was very easy to access my room. The room was a good size and very clean. The hostess is friendly and extremely accommodating. If you use public transportation, be aware that the property is near Pulpit Hill, so there is some steep walking. However, buses do serve this area, and you can get a taxi. I came to Scotland to hike, so the uphill walk was a welcome part of the trip. The house was less...

"My wife and I stayed for one night at The Oyster Inn and thoroughly enjoyed it. The rooms are quite small but are spotlessly clean, the bed's comfortable and the walk in showers are a decent size and the views overlooking the loch are spectacular. Our highlights however was the genuine friendliness of all the staff and the food was incredible...all at a reasonable price. We'll definitely stay there again if we're in the area! "
